City of Toledo Receives Foreclosure Grant |
|
The Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced that Toledo will be allocated more than $12 million dollars for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program.This program is a $3.9 billion emergency fund, created as part of The Housing & Economic Recovery Act of 2008. In order to meet the obligations associated with this grant and for the money to be wisely spent, Mayor Carty Finkbeiner announced the creation of a Task Force. Members of this task force include representatives from the CDCs, Home Builders Association of Greater Toledo, Toledo Board of Realtors, LMHA, LISC, St. Vincent Hospital, National City Bank, representatives from the offices Marcy Kaptur and Sherrod Brown, and members of the Toledo Housing Policy Committee. |
